Reception Rates: Six Currencies, Large and Calm
For places that exchange money on the side: a hotel reception, a travel agency, a post office. Six or eight currencies in large type, and nothing else.

What it shows
Fewer rows, bigger type. The six or eight currencies your guests actually bring, with buy and sell rates, the time and date, and a line at the bottom saying the commission is included. On a light background it sits quietly in a lobby; on the dark one it reads like the boards in an exchange office.
Where it goes
A 32 to 43-inch screen beside the desk, portrait or landscape, or a zone in a screen that also shows a welcome message and the weather. Guests read it while they wait, so it does not need to be big.
What you can change
- The currencies, which can differ from the full list on your other screens
- The title (“Our best rates today”, “Currency exchange”), colours and logo
- The language, or two languages taking turns for international guests
Hotels that exchange money often run screens for much more than rates: see digital signage for hotels.
