The short version. For one screen, Yodeck is the cheapest: one screen is free there, for good. For three screens you are testing, OptiSigns gives you three free. For permanent screens, from two to twenty-five, easyCMS costs the least over five years, because you pay once and the bill stops.

Both competitors also sell dearer plans, so check which one your needs land on. Yodeck goes up to $16 a screen a month; OptiSigns runs from Pro at $12.50 to Engage at $30, and Enterprise at $45 or more with a 25-screen minimum.
Which one to choose
Choose Yodeck if…
You run one screen, or you need unlimited storage for a lot of video, or your IT team requires single sign-on. Yodeck’s free screen costs nothing.
Choose OptiSigns if…
You want three screens running free while you prove the idea, and a logo on screen is fine. Good for a staff room, less so for a customer menu.
Choose easyCMS if…
Your screens are staying up for years, you have two to twenty-five of them, and you would rather buy than rent. Hosted in the EU, run from your phone with Studio.
If the screens are only up for a few months, such as a pop-up or a trade-show stand, rent: a monthly plan or a free tier is the right answer.
Five years of software
Software only: the screens, mounts and installation cost the same whichever you pick. We use each vendor’s entry plan in euros, as published. easyCMS uses PRO from ten screens, because the 49€ account runs up to five.

The easyCMS figure is paid once, so years two to five cost nothing. Ten screens bought together catch up with Yodeck and OptiSigns within the first year. If you add screens one at a time, easyCMS costs a little more in year one and is still well ahead by year five. The cost calculator does this for your own screen count.
Above 25 screens, or if you need several users or your own branding, you need Enterprise at 1,290€ a year. That is a subscription, and we say so.
What easyCMS does not have
Be clear on this before you buy. There is no free plan and no trial, storage is capped (see above), and there is no single sign-on, no app marketplace and no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certificate. If any of those decides it for you, pick one of the other two.
What you get instead: nothing to renew, hosting in the EU, and the guides and assistant are free to everyone. We have been in digital signage since 2010, and easyCMS has run since 2016.
The tables leave out displays, mounts and the time it takes someone to keep the content fresh. Those usually cost more than the software, whichever of the three you choose.

Is easyCMS cheaper than Yodeck?
Not for a single screen: Yodeck’s free plan wins. At ten screens bought together, easyCMS is cheaper within the first year and about 3,900€ cheaper over five years than Yodeck Basic (checked September 2026).
Is there a free easyCMS plan or trial?
No. The cheapest way in is the 49€ account, which includes your first screen. If free is what you need, Yodeck and OptiSigns both have real free plans.
How much storage do I get?
1GB on the account, 5GB on PRO at 299€, 20GB on Enterprise. Both competitors offer unlimited storage on paid plans. If you plan to show a lot of video, check our storage guide first.
Does easyCMS have templates, SSO or an app marketplace?
Studio has more than 200 templates. There is no single sign-on and no app marketplace. Enterprise adds several users with their own roles, but that is not single sign-on.
What happens above 25 screens?
You move to Enterprise at 1,290€ a year: 20GB, your own branding on your own domain, users and roles. Licences drop to 49€ for Android and 99€ for LG webOS and Samsung Tizen, and are free for Windows and Linux.
