Other Players
easyCMS runs best on Android, with Windows as the common second choice. LG webOS and Samsung Tizen panels are supported too, and here is where each one fits and what it costs you.
Around four screens in five run Android, and most of the rest run Windows. If you have not chosen yet, we would put you on Android; this page covers the cases outside those two.
Whatever the player, you connect it the same way: CMS address and key on the device, then Add a screen in easyCMS Studio, which finds the new screen. For Android, Windows and Samsung Tizen it also shows the steps, with your CMS address and key once you sign in.

LG webOS panels
LG’s commercial signage displays host the player on the panel itself: no box, no extra power supply, one less thing to fail. It is not the cheapest route or the one with most headroom, because a panel’s processor is more modest than even an inexpensive Android box.
- Commercial models only. Not consumer LG televisions, and support varies by webOS version and model series. Send us your model number before you buy.
- Heavy layouts struggle. Several videos at once, or live web content, run more smoothly on an Android player over HDMI.
- A licence of its own. Each LG webOS screen needs the 129€ licence for Samsung Tizen or LG webOS, which includes its player licence. The licence included with your account covers a Windows, Android or ChromeOS screen.
Samsung Tizen panels
Samsung’s commercial signage displays (the SSSP range, Tizen 4.0 or newer) run the player on the panel too, with the same trade-offs. It installs from your CMS through the panel’s Custom App menu (URL Launcher on older panels), or from a USB stick. Samsung Tizen digital signage software lists which panels work; consumer Samsung televisions are not supported, so send us the model number before you buy. Each Samsung screen needs the same 129€ licence as an LG one.
Bringing your own hardware
You do not have to buy players from us. Any Windows PC that meets the requirements runs the player, and a spare office machine is often the quickest way to get a screen live. Android is less forgiving: a cheap tablet or unbranded TV stick usually lacks the memory for a busy layout, a reliable way to stay awake, and a route to central updates.

Anything else
Linux boxes and Raspberry Pi come up now and then. We do not sell licences for them and they are not part of the standard setup, so there is no guide here and nothing on the downloads page. That is not “impossible”: if reusing hardware would save you replacing it, tell us what you have with model numbers and screen counts, and we will give you a straight answer.
A ChromeOS device takes the 99€ licence too. Google also requires its own Kiosk & Signage Upgrade on each device, about 25€ per device per year, bought from Google or a reseller, not from us.
